Youth Ministry - SPIRITUAL IDIOMS

Our pastor talked about the Three spiritual idioms for our faith. This could be used in leading your Youth Ministry too. So I would use his idioms but I'll give another insights out from those.

First, "Discover your ax." This tells that we need to strengthen each one of the members in the ministry. Empowering each other will help to grow every member and to grow the ministry as a whole at large. Satan is always hanging around waiting to invade each one's minds. When Jesus told Simon at Luke 22:31 "Simon,Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as a wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, stregthen your brothers." This verse clearly states that even our faith would falter, would not be crushed and burned. It would be renewed and Peter would become a powerful leader.

Second, "Dump the junks." God doesn't make a junk. If ever one of the member would pull the whole ministry down, then it's time for a serious talk with that one. In John 15:5 Jesus said "I am the vine; you are the branches.If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given.This is to my father's glory, that you bear much fruit,showing yourselves to be my disciples."

Last, "Dare to jump a little higher." If we want to glorify God, let's give him the best what we can give! There's nothing wrong in trying our best for Him and catch something higher for the Lord. Paul said in Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brothers whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things."
